Rice Plant Leaf Disease Detection for Precision Agriculture: A Survey
Abstract
The rice product is the foremost agricultural product and is one of the most valueadded in agricultural production in countries across the globe. To enhance the growth rate of the annual production, the health of the rice plant is the most necessary aspect to be taken into account. Relative papers of the last decade are studied thoroughly, including the work carried on various rice leaf diseases and researched the most essential aspects to design this survey paper. The rice plant health map shows four major areas to be concerned about: nodal, leaf, neck, and pinnacle. However out of these four areas, rice plant leaf diseases are found to be more prevalent as far as effective and efficient agriculture is concerned. This research paper provides a survey of effective ideas on properly implemented techniques and methodologies of different classifiers and techniques used to detect and cure the rice leaf diseases. The paper also suggests further essential remedies to cure them. However, this paper concludes that the CNN techniques are the most effective technique in all of those.
